Sustainability
At Imperial Lodge and Imperial Hotel Great Yarmouth, we are committed to operating in a responsible and sustainable manner, continually working to reduce our environmental impact while preserving the character and heritage of our period buildings. We recognise that historic properties present unique challenges, but we are dedicated to making meaningful improvements wherever possible.
We actively seek to minimise energy consumption through efficient practices, mindful use of resources and ongoing investment in appropriate technologies that respect the fabric of the building. Water conservation and responsible waste management are also key priorities, with a strong focus on reducing, reusing, and recycling across all areas of the hotel.
Our kitchen and restaurant operations aim to reduce food waste through careful planning and creative use of ingredients. We prioritise working with local and regional suppliers to support the local economy, reduce food miles and ensure freshness and quality in our offerings.
In line with our sustainability goals, we are working to eliminate single-use items wherever practical, replacing them with reusable or more environmentally friendly alternatives without compromising guest comfort and experience.
We understand that sustainability is an ongoing journey. Imperial Lodge and Imperial Hotel Great Yarmouth are committed to continuous improvement, regularly reviewing our practices and seeking new ways to operate more sustainably while maintaining the high standards our guests expect.
